… Tell me, for who are they that sayeth to you that there is good in war?

When all know, or come to know, that all in war suffer, and by no small measure, whether in life, or the same in death.

Let them that sayeth to you that in war there be good, let them be the ones that warmonger, that scheme, that fight their fight, let them be the ones that war on one another, and them and each alone.

Would that not be something?

That Kings and Queens and Emperors fight their own war, with their own selves?

Them, them, and no one else.

Not the tens.

Not the hundreds.

Not the thousands.

Not the millions.

And if they be brave enough to do as such, to do then as they would have others do, ask them then, yes ask them then, what good is there in war now? When they crawl, and slither, and backslide, and try, and try, and try to run from their own cowardice.

Tell me, how many monuments unto the fallen and the dead would there be then?

How many of us would then not die needlessly, wastefully. Die for the shame of those who would cause for war in an instant, and say that war is necessary, that war is unavoidable, that war is good.

Let them that sayeth to you that in war there be good, let them be the ones that warmonger, that scheme, that fight their own fight, let them be the ones that war on one another, and them and each alone.

And verily war would be no more.
